FOR MY GRANDCHILDREN (Concerning Religion)

A-Hey Grandchildren,

I want to talk to you about the Creation and about Religion.

My Elders said: "The Creation is vast and unknowable but, in our Ignorance and in our Arrogance we choose to speak as if we had a clue."

I am a student of the simple.

This is Simple Wisdom.

1. We are Children of the Earth. The Earth is our Mother.

We are not Stewards of the Earth.

2. The Lord is your lover not your jailor.

Those who claim that we are sinful by birth do so not to save us but to enslave us.

3. Compassion and Appreciation:

these are the virtues we need to enoble our lives.

By manifesting compassion and appreciation our Mother can renew herself and become once again the Eden that she was so long ago.

This is a prayer that infoms me. It comes from the Taoist people.

The highest good is like water.

Water gives life to the ten thousand things yet does not strive.

It flows in places man neglects and so is like the Tao.

In dwelling live close to the land,

In meditation go deep in the heart.

In dealing with others be gentle and kind.

In speech be true.

In ruling be just.

In business be competent.

In action watch the timing.

No fight, no blame.

Grandchildren, these are things that I know. This is the way I try to walk. But understand, Grandchildren, that I stumble often and so will you. The joy is in the attempt.

You all take real good care of yourselves. Me and Miki think of you all the time and hope that you are well.
